- Discusses Rosenwein's early life and education in New York City, his involvement with the Young People's Socialist League, and the Communist Party. In his professional life he speaks about the defense of the Hollywood Ten; the California Smith Act cases; his association with Stanley Fleishman and pornography and obscenity as legal issues; civil rights and draft resistance cases in the 1960s; the ACLU, Nazis and Ku Klux Klan; and the Younger v. Harris criminal syndicalism trial. Notable among his cases were: Koenigsberg v. State Bar of California et al, Shibley v. United States, Roth v. Alberts, Miller v. California, Hamling v. United States, Eleazer Smith v. California, Zeitlin v. Arnebergh, Redrup v. New York, and Freeman v. Maryland
