- Paul J. Lunardi was born in 1921 and was elected to the city council in Roseville, California in 1950, where he served until 1958. During his city council term, he served as the city's youngest mayor (1954-1956). In 1958, Lunardi was elected to the California Assembly representing the Sixth District. He was re-elected in 1960 and 1962. He resigned in 1963 after winning a special election in November of that year for a seat in the California State Senate. He served in the Senate until October 1966, when he resigned to become the legislative representative of the California Wine Insitute. He represented the Wine Institute until his retirement in 1988. During his tenure in the Assembly, Lunardi was chairman of the Military and Veterans Affairs Committee, vice-chair of the Water Committee, and served on other committees. While in the Senate, he was vice-chair of the Fish and Game Committee and served on other committees. Currently, Lunardi is employed by the lobbying firm of SJR Jackson/Barrish.
