The text comprises 241 chapters, numbered and with caption titles. There is also a table of contents on leaves on last [6] leaves at end. Included are 20 geometric drawings, finely executed. Throughout the text are 43 spaces left for illustrations, some with frames outlined in pen. The use of the word "uovo" in Chapter 59, following the use of the first printed edition--"O se tu vuoi fare in un'altezza una palla rotonda ti bisogna farla lunga, a similitudine d'un ovo...." rather than the diagram of an egg used by Leonardo, indicates that Belt 41 was made after the printed edition
