- According to the Prologo on page [12], the work consists of six parts: the first, written by St. Jerome; the second a chapter called "Paradiso," translated by "uno monacho che se chiamo Eradio" [Evagrio?]; the third composed by John, bishop of Jerusalem ("Ioua[n]ne monaco di Hierusale[m]"); the fourth and fifth being the work of various authors; and the sixth, the Prato spirituale" by St. Joannes Eviratus (Joannes Moschus Eucrates)
