Spec. Coll. copy bound with: Ex XIIII. T. Livii Decadibvs ... Venetiis : In aedibvs Aldi, et Andreae soceri, 1520-1521]. Bound in 18th-century calf, with rebacked spine; double blind fillet enclosing sprinkled outer border, and inner foliate roll, with floral corner-pieces; gold-stamped black leather spine labels, with titles "Livius decadibus" and "Aldus 1520-21"; edges sprinkled red and brown. Ownership inscription on front free endpaper of "Rich. Cox", and "R. Cox" on verso of leaf P10, probably that of Sir Richard Cox, Baronet, Lord Chancellor of Ireland. In modern brown cloth phase box; in matching brown leather and brown marbled paper slipcase; gold-stamped box title "Livy. Ab urbe condita," with gold-stamped imprint date "1520" at base of spine. Purchase, Zeitlin & Ver Brugge Booksellers, 1976.
