Aureliae [Orléans, France] : Ex typographia Eligij Gibierij, Vniuersitatis Typographi, 1567. Bound in German tawed pigskin binding; blind-stamped center panels, featuring figures of the seven Liberal Arts: Grammatica, Dialectica, Retorica, and Arithmetica on upper cover, and Musica, Geometr[i]a, and Astronomia on lower cover, within concentric blind-stamped ornamental borders; owner's monogram on upper cover in upper panel, "L.S.D.O." and dated "1573" in lower panel; old ms. spine title, and shelf-mark; ms. title on fore-edges. Early bibliographic note on t.p., probably by previous owner. Bookplate of the Brother Julian F.S.C. Collection at Manhattan College, donated by Christian A. Zabriskie of New York City, on front free endpaper. Purchased as part of Lot 43 from Christie's South Kensington Manhattan College Rare Book Collection sale, Nov. 29, 1991, through Bernard Quaritch, 1992.
