Bookplate of Arnold Muirhead on front pastedown; below is presentation plate for school mathematics prize: "West of England Dissenters' Proprietary School, Taunton. This 1st Class Prize was awarded to E. Seymer Thompson for general proficiency in Mathematics during the first half year ending Midsummer '62. W. St. Griffith MA, Principal." In modern beige cloth and red leather clamshell box, with gold-stamped spine title "The first six books of Euclid. Byrne. 1847."
