  • The Black cat was originally published in 1843. The text for this edition is from the Wiley and Putnam edition of Poe's Tales, 1845
  • Printed by Harold McGrath at Hampshire Typothetae in West Hatfield, Massachusetts. Illustrated with eleven wood engraphys by Alan James Robinson and the Bulmer Monotype was set by Mackenzie-Harris of San Francisco
  • The regular edition is limited to 250 copies, printed on hand-made paper. The deluxe edition is limited to 60 copies, on vintage Bodleian paper and bound in quarter leather by Gray Parrot, and accompanied by a suite of the wood engravings and a drypoint etching of the cat. The full leather edition is limited to 15 copies in a black leather binding by Gray Parrot with a paper cast from a bas relief of the cat by Alan James Robinson; it includes a suite of the wood engravings and the drypoint etching, along with working proofs
