  • First published by Christopher's Books in Santa Barbara, California in 1974. Much of the edition was subsequently destroyed by fire; the poems were altered in 2007 by the poet for this Ninja Press edition
  • Text pages consist of twelve unbound bifolia which open to 36 x 46 cm. First and last pages of each of the twelve bifolia have been hand-painted in sumi ink by Carolee Campbell. The bifolia are laid in a goat parchment portfolio, processed by hand at Pergamena in Montgomery, New York. Parchment portfolio is laid in hard-sided chemise wrapper covered in deep green Asahi Japanese silken cloth; issued in slipcase covered in beige linen created by Judi Conant in Guildhall, Vermont; title labels decorated in sumi ink, and printed in silver at head of spine and on upper cover of slipcase
  • "The type is hand set Van Dijck with Weiss Initials Series I for the display printed on dampened Domestic Etching. ... The design, presswork and binding are by Carolee Campbell at the Ninja Press with the assistance of Karen Skove Chu in the bindery"--Colophon
  • "The edition is comprised of 85 numbered copies, signed by both poet and artist with an additional 10 lettered hors commerce"--Colophon
