Coll. copy: Elaborate publisher's gilt embossed brown leather boards; spine rebacked and original backstrip laid on; both boards decorated with a center mandorla containing a gilt engraving of the Lady of the lake, flanked by a steed and a stag; a hunting horn and swan above; on vertical ribbons on left and right are lines from the poem; all adorned with gilt grapevines and fruit, enclosed within blind embossed ornamental outer border; spine illustrated with a sword in the ground, entwined with ribbon bearing quote from the poem, "Few were the arms whose sinuey strength sufficed to stretch it forth at length;" gilt-stamped spine title "The Lady of the Lake. Illustrated by Photographs. Bennett."
