- Biographical or historical data
- Nathan C. Clark was born July 9, 1906 in San Rafael, Calif. He recieved his B.A. (1927) and M.A. (1929) in electrical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley where he took classes from Sierra Club members Joel Hildebrand and Joseph LeConte. He moved to Southern California t teach at USC, followed by responsible supervisorial positions in the City of Los Angeles' frequency change project. He worked at Lockheed in Burbank just before World War II. He joined the Sierra Club in 1929 and was on the club's board of directors for sixteen years including serving as vice-president (1958-59) and as president (1959-61).
