Coll. copy: Bound in contemporary [?] blind-stamped brown leather over paperboard covers; center lozenge on upper and lower covers enclosed by blind-stamped ruled and floriated borders; centerpiece is blind-stamped figure of Fortune, standing atop a dolphin and holding a sail to catch the wind; binding reinforced with four strips of early vellum manuscript waste; four sewing holes on each cover, two along fore-edges, one each along upper and lower edges, suggesting earlier presence of four ties. Signature of expurgator, Laurentius Franguellus, on verso of final leaf; below is ownership [?] inscription, dated 1598. Purchase, William H. Schab Gallery, 1988.
