Summary expansion
Both San Francisco (the official Exposition site) and San Diego hosted expositions during 1915 in honor of the completion of the Panama Canal. In addition to front and back title panels, the recto contains half-tone photographs of Opening Day, Jan. 1, 1915, as well as photographs and drawings of some of the exposition sites: the California State Building, Varied Industries Building, and Puente del Cabrillo. Also included are a ground plan of the San Diego Exposition, a topographical map of the Santa Fe Railway line connecting San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Diego; and a map of the United States highlighting Santa Fe routes across the country to California. The brochure emphasizes that the Santa Fe is the only rail line connecting both exposition cities. Verso consists entirely of half-tone photographs of exhibits including the Santa Fe's Painted Desert Exhibit, the Botanical Building, Japanese Gardens, the California Building, and Lipton's Tea Plantation
