There are also two cantatas: Il Regno di Pace by Pietro Antonio Zorzi and an untitled one by Vettore Benzon. This may have been the first publication of Vincenzo Monti's hymn, La Jerogamia di Creta. There are some poems from other languages, notably Népomucène-Louis Lemercier's Ode a l'Hymen (in French) and Horace's Ode XII ad Augustum (in Latin), which are translated into Italian on facing pages
  • On cover, in pencil: Per le nozze di Napoleone con Maria Luisa.
  • Signatures: pi2 1-58 62
Dimensions
19 cm. (8vo)
Extent
lxxxiv p.
Note
Lacking pi2: this could have been a title page, or more likely, the piece was never meant to have a t.p. Cream wrappers, reinforced with pastedowns. Printed matter on upper and lower wrappers consists of ornamental borders surrounding a large letter "W".
