  • Spec. Coll. copy: v. 2 imperfect, two blank leaves, Bb4 and 2p4 wanting; bound in 19th-century dark blue [black?] straight grain morocco over boards, signed "Rel. P. Bozerian" at base of spine; double gilt fillet border enclosing floral rolled border; elaborate gilt spine panels; gold-stamped spine title "Ovidius. Heroides. Amores. De arte amandi. De remed. amoris ..;" pink silk doublures bordered with ornamental gilt roll; all edges gilt; pink silk bookmark. Large illustrated bookplate on front pastedown of Robert Sonnenschein, signed by artist "A.F. Allen;" and, in lower right corner, by engraver, "J.W. Jameson sculpsit '37." Presented by Dr. and Mrs. Sonnenschein in honor of the appointment of Gloria Werner as University Librarian in 1990.
