Summary expansion
The photograph is part of the series "Alrededores de Mexico" published by the French photographer Abel Briquet in 1896. Briquet came to Mexico possibly in the 1870s or in 1883, and became one of Mexico's first commercial photographers. Working until 1910, he made hundreds of photographs of factories, hotels, railroads, churches, and other points of interest, issued individually, in series, or in photographic albums
