Large illustrated bookplate on front pastedown of English scholar Edward Bensly, dated 1922, with his motto "Disce aliquid. Hora latet." The bookplate, signed "HsB" or "HBs," features an hourglass and a stack of books, one of which, labeled "A of M," refers to Bensly's work on Robert Burton's Anatomy of Melancholy.
