Ownership inscription of Silvestro Rocca [?] on verso of last leaf, dated April 11, 1583, above a 4-line poem in the same hand, signed "S. R"; with his ms. marginal notes. In a modern beige linen and dark brown leather clamshell box, with gold-stamped box title "Polybius. Historiarum. 1522". Purchase, Bennett Gilbert, 1985.
