Spec. Coll. copy: incomplete, final blank leaf (G6) wanting. Bound in 19th-century black paper boards; paper spine label with manuscript title "Platinae opera. Editio integra. Venetiis 1504." Annotations in various hands throughout. Ownership inscription on front pastedown of the great German classicist Jacob Bernays, with his notes on the front endleaf. For his importance in the history of classical scholarship, see Sandys III:176-179. Among his many accomplishments of particular note is his classic work on Scaliger and an important edition of Lucretius. Unidentified monastic [?] inscription on title page: "Sum ex libris Amandi scribonij pastoria Ler...;" many of the copious annotations appear to have been written in the same hand. Embossed ownership stamp on front endleaf and title-page of J.J. Rolbiecki. Purchase, Jeffrey Mancevice, 1990.
