- Summary expansion
- Estienne collated earlier printed editions--the 1513 Aldine, the 1534 and 1556 Basel editions, and for the Laws, the 1531 Louvain edition--as well as manuscripts to produce the Greek text. He replaced the old Ficino translation with a newly commissioned one by Jean de Serres, which he then went on to correct and revise himself
