  • "Pierrot Lunaire was created in honor of a performance of Arnold Schoenberg's 1912 song cycle at the Yellow Barn Music Festival in Putney, Vermont in the summer of 2003. The book was designed by Dan Carr and Brian D. Cohen ... The French language text is printed in Bembo Italic, the German in Gill Sans Light, and the English in Monotype Bembo by Julia Ferrari at Golgonooza Letter Foundry & Press. The etchings were created by Brian D. Cohen and were printed at Bridge Press by the artist on Magnani Pescia in intaglio and relief with the assistance of Hayden Lake, Ian Proctor, and Brad Purinton. The accompanying compact disc is a recording of a July 12, 2003 performance of Schoenberg's Pierrot Lunaire by soprano Susan Naruki, with Erin Lesser, flute, Alan Kay, clarinet, Annaliesa Place, violin/viola, Jean-Michel Fonteneau, 'cello, and Ying-Chien Lin, piano ... The aluminum folio boxes were fabricated by Barrett and Gould of Hillsboro, New Hampshire and were decorated by Brian D. Cohen and lined by Sarah Creighton of Easthampton, Massachusetts ... Published in an edition of twenty-one copies ..."--Colophon
