Summary expansion
The texts include Ovid's Amores, a collection of fifty love poems or witty studies of love in different moods, arranged in three books; the Medicamina faciei feminae, a didactic poem on cosmetics for the female face, of which only 100 lines are extent; and the pseudo-Ovidian Nux ("Nut Tree"), a curious elegy composed for pedagogical purposes. In the appendix, Niger has added the two spurious poems Pulex and Philomela--the Pulex being now attributed to Ofilius Sergianus
