Bound with: Sacre theologie [et] omnium bonarum artium [con]summatissimi [pro]fessoris diui Alpho[n]si Thostati episcopi Abule[n]sis super quarto libro Regum perlucida explanatio. Impressum Venetijs per Ioannem Antoniu[m] [et] fratres de Sabio anno Domini M.D.xxvij [1517]. Bound in contemporary blind-stamped tawed pigskin over original beveled oak boards; remnants of two pairs of leather and metal clasps along fore-edges of boards. Ownership inscription on title page, dated 1554, of Christoph Neaetius, "s[anctae] the[ologiae] do[ctor]," archdeacon in Glatz, Lower Silesia (now Kłodzko, Poland). Nineteenth-century ownership inkstamp "Ad Bibl. Acad. Land." on title page of the Universitätsbibliothek München (this stamp in use 1800-1826). In modern beige cloth and tan leather clamshell box (41 cm) lined with tan felt; gold-stamped spine title "Tostado. Works IV. 1506-1531." Purchase, A. Sokol, 1990.
