Summary
Second ed. (following Leonardus Achates' first ed. of 1474, the first book printed in Vicenza), of a cosmographical poem based on the Polyhistor of Solinus by Fazio degli Uberti, a Florentine and contemporary of Boccaccio and Petrarch. Although written in Tuscan Italian, it includes a dialogue in modern Greek (leaf s6), an account in French of the wars between France and England (leaves y3-y4), and a passage in Provençal (leaf z3)

Contemporary ownership inscription on t.p. of Ercole Basso, numismatist from Bologna, and trusted dealer for Francesco de' Medici between 1573 and 1587, advising him on acquisitions of ancient coins; later [18th-century?] inscription "Jo. Valcobij". Ms. marginal annotations in an early hand, possibly Basso's. Purchase, Laurence Witten, 1983.
