  • Map detached from a United States Senate document (Serial Set 377 S.doc.92): Report from the Secretary of the Treasury, showing, in compliance with a resolution of the Senate, the quantity of public land unsold on the 30th June, 1828; the estimated average value per acre thereof, and the quantity since sold, and at what price; together with the quantities offered for sale at different periods
  • "The red lines represent the boundaries of the different land districts as they existed on the 30th June 1828. The [heavy black lines] exhibit the boundaries of the respective districts as they now exist. [Triangles designate] the location of the land offices in 1828 and [squares] their location at the present time The townships marked [with a +] denote the lands offered for sale according to the district boundaries as they existed on the 30th June 1828. Those of them which are included in dotted lines thus denote new lands offered subsequent to 30th June 1828. The townships marked [with a circle] represent the new lands offered since June 30 1828 according to the boundary of the respective districts as they now exist.
