- Photographs are mounted to rectos of leaves of heavy white cardstock; photos signed in negative in lower left by photographer "G. West & Son, Southsea," in lower right by photographic retailer and manufacturer, "Marion & Co. London," with caption identifying ships in center, including photographic stock number
- Bound in royal blue cloth and dark blue leather spine and corners; gold-stamped cover and spine title "Naval review photos;" blue marbled endpapers; all edges gilt; dark blue silk bookmark
