- Extended explanation of the Church as the means of salvation using the allegorical concept of the Church as a ship piloted by Christ. The book is arranged in short expositions or meditations on the ship of the Church, and its passengers, those destined for salvation, in which each aspect of the ship's construction and journey corresponds to the steps of the Christian's journey to Heaven. Each section carries an explanatory title, such as "Come per la cagione del fabricar la naue, si può à quella comparare l'institutione della santa religione," "Come la poppe della naue significa la Fede," and "Come il biscotto e l'acqua che portano seco i nauiganti significa la mortificatione della carne."
