Reesman Fryer ("Si Fryer"), former superintendent of the Navajo reservation and member of the planning committee for WRA, and Milton Eisenhower. He describes his responsibilities as assistant project director of Manzanar. Description covers daily interaction with Japanese Americans, entrepreneurial spirit of internees, and the living conditions in camp. Also includes a detailed description of Manzanar Riot
