Coll. copy 1: imperfect, all leaves disbound and laid in modern dark green cloth phase box; olive green cloth that was part of the upper board of original binding has been preserved on verso of front flap of phase box; gold-stamped title reads: "Lower Egypt and Thebes. Photographed by Francis Frith;" in matching dark green cloth slipcase with gold-stamped tan leather spine label bearing title "Frith. Lower Egypt and Thebes. Photographs." Gift of Albert Boni.

Frith;" marbled gray endpapers; all edges gilt. Embossed ownership stamp on title-page of Edwin Bergstrom, architect, of Los Angeles. Housed in modern dark red cloth phase box and matching red leather and red marbled paper slipcase. (Acquisition no. 100267)

Book label of Otto M. Lilien, with his shelf-mark in pencil mounted in lower right corner of front endleaf. First title-page with mounted photograph has become disbound and is laid in.
