Coll. copy: first p. of text (recto of leaf [2]) contains large illuminated capital "M", in purple and green on a gilt background, center portions of the letter in deep blue with white pen tracing; a smaller illuminated capital "P" below in gilt on a purple and green background; a pair of dolphins facing each other in green and red along upper margin, a pair of female griffins in purple in lower margin, flanking an armorial medallion wreathed in laurel leaves, the center design of which has been scratched out; left margin contains a vertical chain of leafy bells, cherubs heads, and gilt and red circles, topped with a topiary tree in an urn. Capitals throughout text have been added in red or blue ink; paragraph marks in red. Bound in contemporary stiff vellum covers, whose fore-edges are turned in; ms. spine title "Praepar. Infirm. Ienson. Venet. 1480". Recto of last leaf (leaf g8) contains arithmetical computations by a former owner in a contemporary hand. Bookseller's ticket on back pastedown of William Salloch of Ossining, N.Y. In an oak slipcase lined in satin. Purchase, John Howell Books, 1983.
