Coll. copy: contemporary Venetian binding of brown morocco, richly gilt; oval cartouche in center of upper and lower boards, surrounded by gilt arabesques, stars, leaves and floral ornaments, all within double gilt ruled borders; small gilt floral corner-pieces; cartouche on lower board contains gold-stamped title "Terze rime di Dan[te];" rebacked; floral ornaments in spine panels. Armorial bookplate on front pastedown of Guiseppe Martelli, archbishop of Florence from 1722 to 1741, with his motto "Sola virtus vera nobilitas;" bookseller's ticket of Fiammetta Soave of Romebetween 1722-1741, with his engraved armorial ex-libris.
