MCI"; inner gilt dentelles; marbled endpapers; gilt and gauffered edges. Eighteenth-century ownership inscription on title-page of Giovanni Gaetano ("Jo. D Gaetano adeuera"), who may also have written some of the extensive historical and critical notes throughout, with others in a bolder, heavier later hand, including the Latin quatrain on leaf h5; bookplate of Templeton Crocker on front pastedown. In modern red leather and beige cloth-covered clamshell box, with title "Le cose volgari. Petrarch. 1501".
