  • Printer identified in colophon, which reads: "Venetijs in officina Luc[a]eantonij Iunt[a]e Anno MDXXXVII mense Septembri."
  • A collection of five chronological tracts, supposedly written by a Frenchman, Joannes Lucidus, although there is no proof that he ever existed. In fact, the tracts were probably written by the Dominican friar, Giovanni Maria Tolosani, who signed the dedication. Cf. E. Rosen, "Was Copernicus' Revolutions approved by the Pope?", Journal of the history of ideas 36, no. 3 (Jul.-Sept. 1975): 531-542
  • Tolosani's dedication to Niccolò Schomberg, Cardinal Capuano, dated Oct. 15, 1535 in Florence, on leaves [6]v-[7]v
  • Printed in roman type, with section headings in italics
  • Woodcuts: printer's device on t.p. and below colophon (the Giunta fleur-de-lis, with initials "L.A.", flanked by two putti within a wreath of fruit and leaves); circular diagram of the winds on verso of leaf 155; white-on-white foliated initials
