Uenetijs imp[re]ssus opera atq[ue] impe[n]sa Bartholomei de Alexa[n]dria, Andree de Asula Mapheiq[ue] de Salodio socioru[m], anno salutis christiane Mcccclxxxij sexto cale[n]das octobris [1482 Sept. 26]. Contemporary brown leather over wooden boards; blind-tooled panels; blind-tooled centerpiece of three strapwork lozenges arranged vertically; some restoration to spine and upper board; remnants of two pairs of leather and brass clasps on fore-edges of boards; vellum endpapers. Some marginal annotations in a 15th-cent. humanistic hand, possibly by a Bolognese jurist as suggested by textual references in the annotations, which consist of comments on the text and syntheses of points presented. In modern beige cloth and tan leather clamshell box; gold-stamped spine title "Catholic Church. Liber sextus decretalium" with date "1482" gold-stamped at base.
