Coll. copy: imperfect, lacking the 2 volvelles on "Instrumentum veri motus lune;" this copy has [2] additional leaves at end, containing two diagrams on recto of first leaf, "Quadrans horologij horizontis," and verso of second leaf, "Quadratu[m] horariu[m] generale," which has a 3-piece brass pointer fastened to leaf. Dark blue crushed morocco binding, signed on upper turn-in by W. Pratt, possibly the London bookseller and binder active 1808-1870; triple gilt fillets, with ornamental gilt cornerpieces; gilt spine, with title "Regio Monterus Kalend.;" inner gilt dentelles; all edges gilt. White-on-black illustrated bookplate of C.W. Dyson Perrins on front pastedown, with his circular shelf-mark label in upper left corner; small red and white printed book label of Helmut Friedlaender, also on front pastedown. Purchased as Lot 105 at the Christie sale of the Helmut Friedlaender library, April 23, 2001.
