Opere burlesche", and "Firenze 1552", respectively; edges stained dark green; marbled endpapers. Bacchi's ownership inscription on front free endpaper, dated 1875; bookplate of Giannalisa Feltrinelli. Purchase, Maggs Bros., 1999.

Coll. copy 2: unrecorded blue paper issue; 18th-century English tan calf, blind and gilt filets, with corner fleurons; gilt-ruled spine panels, and inner gilt dentelles; marbled endpapers and fore-edges; blue silk bookmark. Ms. notes in different hands on front endpapers identify this volume as having once belonged to Guglielmo Libri, notorious Italian book thief and forger, and listed as offering 305 in his 1859 auction catalog "Catalogue of the choicer portion of the magnificent library formed by M. Guglielmo Libri"; cf. Maccioni & Mostert's Life and times of Guglielmo Libri (Hilversum 1995). Bookplate monogrammed with entwined initials "BO"; cream and blue illustrated bookplate of Swiss bibliophile Sergio Colombi. Purchase, Bredford Libri Rari, 1992.
