Summary expansion
The version of the Canzoniere and the "Trionfi offered by Paolo Manuzio while continuing to follow the Aldine tradition of presenting a text without comments, at the same time, introduces an experimental system of accenting. He also includes a brief critical explanation of the text in keeping with Aldo's intention declared years before in 1514. Paolo's note to readers indicates that he does not plan to dedicate space to corrections and problems already faced, but does add some grammatical-linguistic notes to clarify the use of diacritical marks in the text
