Spec. Coll. copy: bound in contemporary limp vellum, sewn on four large sewing bands; manuscript waste used to reinforce binding is visible along spine which has been torn. Contemporary [?] purchase note on front endleaf; manuscript note in a later hand reads: "Di Leonardo conosciuto." In modern beige cloth and brown leather clamshell case (39 cm); gold-stamped spine title "Pigna. Historia de principi di Este. 1570." Purchase, Hesketh & Ward, 1992.
