The Latin translation by Giovanni Aurispa, was made in 1449; he had acquired a Greek ms. of the text in Venice in 1441. Bookplate of artist, type designer, and bibliophile, George Abrams, on front pastedown. Purchased for Special Collections by Martin Breslauer, Inc. at Sotheby's London sale, Nov. 16-17, 1989.
