- Biographical or historical data
- Gordon Robinson was born April 7, 1911 in British Columbia. He attended the University of California, Berkeley (B.S.--Forestry, 1937) and participated in a variety of in-service training programs. From 1939-1966 he was employed as a forester with the Southern Pacific Co. in San Francisco. He became a forestry consulant to the Sierra Club under the leadership of Edgar Wayburn and David Brower.
