  • Printed in small gothic type (BMC 76G; Redgrave 4) here in its earliest form (before recasting), in use only in 1480; index printed in three columns, introduction in 1 column, and text in 1-4 columns
  • "The body of the text in this edition corresponds page for page with that in Walch's edition of the preceding year ..., but Ratdolt supplies many woodcuts for which spaces are left by Walch, while the account of the death of Charles the Bold [1477] is laudatory of Charles and is followed by eight pages of new matter." (BMC, V, 283-4)
  • This edition ends with an account of the siege of the city of Rhodes by the Turks in 1480

Illustrated bookplate of Bernd Pattloch on front pastedown; early ownership inscriptions on recto of front free endpaper (obscured); inscriptions of Augustinian fathers, Fortunato de Cerano, and Antonio Rimini de Sorisio on verso of front endpaper and recto of first index page. In modern vellum and beige cloth clamshell box, covered with facsimile of leaf of ms. music; box title "Rolevinck. Fasciculus." Purchase, Maggs Bros., 1984.
