Note
  • At head of title: Brassea. According to Lechi (cited below), the meaning of this word was unknown for a long time, until it was discovered that Marsiliis had intended to honor Cardinal Grassi on the t.p. as a dedicatee. The editio princeps of this work was published in Bologna in 1517 with the word given correctly. Lechi conjectures that the person printing it for Paganino was unfamiliar with gothic letterforms and thought the 'G' was a 'B'
