  • Compilation by Girolamo Cafaro of Salerno, professor of grammar, rhetoric, and poetry during the first half of the 16th century, of Latin sentences, with Italian translations, taken from Cicero's Epistolae ad familiares, and his speeches "Pro lege Manilia", "Pro Archia", and "In Verrem". Also included are Cafaro's dialogue between Venutius and Martius on understanding literature, taking into consideration its grammar, rhetoric, and poetry; and phrase book, arranged alphabetically by topic. Finally, the "Rhetorices epitome" is an abridged version of a basic manual on rhetoric
