Contemporary binding of brown leather and green marbled paper boards; gold-stamped spine title "Distinguished Air. Robert McAlmon;" mustard yellow endpapers; light blue silk ribbon marker. Art Deco-style bookplate of publisher and literary agent Donald S. Friede (1901-1965), designed by Mexican artist Miguel Covarrubias, on front pastedown. Friede, who worked at Boni & Liveright, Prentice-Hall, and Doubleday during his career, helped to publish works by writers such as James Joyce, Theodore Dreiser, and Ezra Pound. Purchase, 1984.
