  • Colophon: "Direction of the road" was printed letterpress at Foolscap Press. The typeface is Monotype Bembo cast at the Michael Bixler Press & Letterfoundry in Skaneateles, New York. La Papeterie Saint-Armand papermill in Montreal, Canada made the text paper, which is Linen Wrapper, and the Green Umbrella cover paper. The mirror was made at the Press using plastic tubing and reflective polymer. The portfolio box was made at Foolscap Bindery and is covered in Japanese cloth. The edition is limited to 120 numbered copies, plus 30 copies hors de commerce numbered i-xxx, signed by the author and artist ... "
  • Title-page in green and black, text in black; facing pages block-printed with oak leaf shapes in different shades of green, red, yellow, ocher, brown. Sage green ridged paper wrappers, with title printed in brown and green on upper board; double natural brown endpapers
  • Includes an original anamorphic woodcut by of a tree (27 x 37 cm.) by Aaron Johnson, in which the artist, following similar experiments by Leonardo da Vinci and other artists, experiments with the nature of perspective and [un]conventional ways of looking. The "corrected" image of the tree may be viewed by standing the accompanying reflective polymer cylinder on end within the printed circle on the woodcut
