  • Each engraved plate hand-colored and accompanied by leaf of descriptive letterpress describing the cry and trade in the body of the text and, in the footnote, the London building in the background of the scene
  • First leaf of letterpress printed on both sides
  • Originally issued to accompany R. Phillips's Modern London, being the history and present state of the British metropolis. This is apparently a reissue, under separate cover, of the plates with their descriptive letterpress which were published with the 1805 edition of Modern London
  • Plates do not bear imprint as is found in 1804 edition
