  • Woodcuts: title vignette (53 x 46 mm.) of St. Francis receiving the stigmata; full-page portrait of St. Catherine of Siena and her wheel; one large portrait initial, and numerous foliated initials

Coll. copy: contemporary light brown calf; blind-stamped strapwork and ruled borders, with quarter-circle corner pieces; large ornamental medallion centerpiece blind-stamped, with small circular star and dot ornaments scattered about; blind-ruled spine panels, with old branded spine titles; remnants of four pairs of leather ties on upper, lower, and right side edges. Ms. fists in margins. Early ownership inscription on front endpaper "Pertinet ad locu[m] luinani [?]". Brown and gold bookplate stamped "Ex Musaeo Hans Fürstenberg". Red paper exhibition label indicates that the volume was part of an exhibit of 124 early Italian bindings from the collection of banker and bibliophile, Hans Fürstenberg (1890-1982), on display at the Musée d'Art et d'Histoire in Geneva in May-June 1966; cf. The book collector 15 (1966): 327. In contemporary brown leather and beige cloth clamshell box with velcro closure. Purchase, Martin Breslauer, 1985.
