Ms. marginal annotations and textual underlinings throughout. Bookplate of artist, type designer, and bibliophile, George Abrams. In modern beige linen and light tan leather clamshell box, with gold-stamped box title "Sallust. Opera". Purchased by Martin Breslauer in 1989 at the Sotheby's auction of Abrams' library; cf. sale cat. #214.
