Ownership inscription of Richard Moreland on front pastedown, dated Sept. 12, 1921; below is large illustrated bookplate of gastronomy and wine writer André Louis Simon, featuring a grapevine, with initials "A.L.S." and motto "Beatus homo quem tu erudieris Domine," signed "Inv. F.G.H." by engraver Frederick Garrison Hall, dated 1925. Purchase, A. Sokol, 1997.
