Spec. Coll. copy: old vellum binding; fore-edges turned in. Extensively annotated in margins in an early hand, in brown ink, now very faded [erased?] and illegible; other annotations in an early hand in red ink. Bookplate of John Scott of Halkshill, Ayrshire on front pastedown, featuring figure of a stag, motto "Amo," and monogram ""JYS" [?]. A note in pencil indicates that his book was subsequently sold at the sale of the Halkskill library by Sotheby's on April 5, 1905 (Lot 2401). Ownership inscription in a 19th-century [?] hand of Benjamin Fillon, French numismatist and archaeologist, on second front endleaf.
